Hello!

My name is Saskia Helinska and I'm a multidisciplinary designer

Digital Fabrication

Constantly improving my digital fabrication skills, I can turn digital designs into physical objects using advanced tools and techniques. With my skills in additional and subtractive manufacturing, I bring ideas to life with precision and creativity.

Interaction Design

With a strong background in human-computer interaction and user-centered design, I can help create intuitive and engaging user experiences across various platforms, that meet the needs of both users and businesses.

Visual Communication

As a trained graphic designer, I've been working with brands, events and other entities to create their visual identities and deliver their messages via different means. I design branding, infographic as well as multimedia visual communication.

Fabricademy

I've done the post-graduate programme at IAAC - Fab Lab Barcelona in 2022. During the course I further learnt new technologies applied in the textile industry, wearable design and biology-based materials

Fab Academy

I am currently enrolled and taking part in this intensive global programme covering basic skills in digital fabrication and electronics design. Originating from MIT's Centre for Bits and Atoms, the classes aim to teach 'how to make almost anything' in a Fab Lab setting

Unflatables

Unflatables is a research project exploring the potential uses of soft robotics in wearables and e-textiles. It covers three different processes used to produce the actuators and investigates the design methods for predefined three-dimensional deformation, which may be used for both visual and haptic feedback

As a trained graphic designer, I've been working with brands, events and other entities to create their visual identities and deliver their messages via different means. I design branding, infographic as well as multimedia visual communication.

Biomaterials

I aim to work with innovative materials that are a sustainable alternative to traditional plastics, as they are derived from biomass sources and can be composted to reduce waste and carbon footprint.
