Hello!

Designer & Maker

I'm currently finishing my Master's degree in New Media Design at Aalto University, while exploring soft robotics and sustainable materials within the makerspace setting of Aalto Fablab. My work bridges digital fabrication with traditional crafts, exploring how technology can create more meaningful and environmentally conscious design solutions.

Background

My journey started with graphic design studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, Poland. An exchange year at Aalto University in 2015-2016 introduced me to digital fabrication—completely changing my perspective on design. This led to hands-on experience at RUC Fab Lab in Denmark and later Fab Lab Berlin, where I learned the practical side of making while connecting with the global maker community.

Now I'm back at Aalto completing my Master's in New Media Design, focusing on the intersection between digital and physical worlds. I've also been part of intensive programs like Fab Academy (the MIT-originated "how to make almost anything" course) and Fabricademy (specialized in digital textiles and sustainable fashion).

What drives me is the potential for technology to enhance rather than replace traditional craft knowledge. I'm particularly interested in wearable technologies and how they can create more intimate, meaningful connections between people and digital systems.

Research Focus

Physical Interfaces

Exploring tangible interactions and how physical objects can mediate digital experiences through responsive materials and embedded sensing.

Soft Robotics

Developing pneumatic actuators and flexible systems that create gentle, human-compatible interactions through bio-inspired design approaches.

Sustainable Materials

Investigating bio-based alternatives to synthetic materials, including bacterial cultivation, mycelium growth, and natural dye processes.

Wearable Technology

Creating intimate, body-integrated devices that support human expression and communication through textile-based electronic systems.

Digital Craftsmanship

Bridging traditional craft knowledge with digital fabrication tools to create hybrid making processes that honor material properties.

Embodied Interaction

Understanding how physical materials can facilitate meaningful connections between people through haptic feedback and responsive surfaces.

Let's Connect

I'm always interested in collaborating on projects that explore the intersection of technology, materials, and human experience. I can offer project consulting services and design guidance to help bring ideas to life.
I also offer workshops and training sessions to help individuals and teams develop their skills in digtial fabrication.
